Recent changes to Family Law to protect children from family violence

These changes arose out of concern that the 2006 shared parenting amendments risked exposing children to family violence. These changes have been welcomed by women’s legal services around the country. We discuss the content of these changes and their implications for children, parents and the protection of children from domestic violence.
